About

The Australiasian Renewable Earth Energy Association (AREEA) is a charity that was formed in 2021 by a group of mechanical engineers, sustainability consultants and ground source heat pump specialists passionate about sustainability, low carbon design and renewable energy.   

We see renewable earth energy systems as one of the solutions necessary for decarbonising heating and cooling energy.  The development and application of geoexchange systems overseas has shown the value, scalability and benefits of these systems and we believe the same will be realised across Australasia with the increase in uptake of this technology.  

The purpose of AREEA is to promote the development and application of geoexchange systems by proving a platform for knowledge sharing, education and training, industry collaboration and encouraging the implementation of standards which lead to quality design and installation of these systems.

AREEA's Mission is to promote and accelerate a sustainable and decarbonised future throughout  Australasia with the help of renewable and efficient earth energy (geothermal) for heating and cooling of spaces, water and industrial processes.

Its Vision is to become the platform for the development, knowledge transfer and application of quality geoexchange systems for the Australasian region and beyond.
